Thermostat replacement ?

Drain fluid, remove hose or hose/housing attached-two long bolts, remove stat and "O" ring. Replace in reverse order.

Lol thanks . I mean do I have to remove the mass air / filter tube ? I just glanced under the hood at lunch and it kinda looks like it has to come off .

Yes, it is easier to remove the left half and swing it out of the way not pulling the wires out of it. I just unclipped mine. Took about 45 min total job if memory serves.
When I refiled mine I just squeezed the upper hose to burp it and run/re-check fluid.

Just make sure if you leave the upper hose attached to the T-stat housing upon reinstall you make dilute it is centered and in the grove. Hold in place to snug bolts, then torque. This way it can't get sideways etc and snap/break etc.

I put a Fail Safe T-stat from AZone in mine. First times using one.
Some don't like them/some do. I figure if the stat fails, at least it will fail in the open position etc.
That is what the mfg of the says says anyway.

i took the whole upper radiatior hose off. makes enough room to get the old one off without removing the airbox. once that is done just pull off the o ring and old thermostat and repeat in reverse.
