Default Switching to synthetic oil

I have a 2002 4.6 and I'm currently running 5w-20 pennzoil conventional but thinking about switching to full synthetic. My truck had 118k miles on it. So my question Is should I switch to full synthetic and what brand of synthetic do you recommend.

Do a synthetic blend, valvolines pretty good. All personal preference. See what runs good in your truck

Agreed, - just the blend. I've heard Motorcraft Syn Blend is cheap at Walmarts lol.

Varies anywhere from 2.99 to 4.99 the past year. They're 4.19 last time I bought some

I use the motorcraft filter. I might as well use the motorcraft blend since it's a ford brand

I did some research about a year ago and found out that pennzoil full syn was the best bang for your buck and outperformed other brands even mobile 1 on the dino in performance and heat. The best after that was royal purple but its twice as expensive and in my imo isn't worth the cost unless you have a race car. As for filters I think
wix is the best according to reviews

Castrol and mobil1 are great. I guess you can't go wrong with motorcraft. As for filters, napa has good filters, fram has good filters as well.
