Tada: a thought-out Ford design of dielectric grease INSIDE the coil pack boot. F'n brilliant...

I always coat the inside of the boot. Seriously.

Why- the boot's an insulator already. No benefit. Dielectric around high voltage performance= problems.

They layed it on too thick. I schmear some on a small screw driver with my finger and run that inside the boot.

When I've done that, I put the boot on the spring/coil then I pull the end of the spring out of the plug end and clean it up before installing.
