ProCharger
Hello All,
I purchased a Procharger from Andysautosport.com You can buy "complete kits" (still need to buy gauges and such) on line for a reasonable price. They say you can install their kits in "8-10 hours with simple hand tools" but unless your putting one of these on everyday that's a little a bit of an exaggeration. As far as performance I put one on my 97' Ford Pickup (5.4L) and I can say I'm not totally blown away it (the truck does run much better), but it may be because I had the engine rebuilt at the same time and I haven't gotten back in and changed the plugs. The procharger kits reuse a lot of stock parts (factory MAF, factory injectors .....) .I believe the kits for the newer trucks (+ 2004) don't rely on secondary FMUs (Fuel Management Units) and rely more on computer programming. Mine is still sitting in the garage (saving up for a dyno tune and more parts). Best of luck shopping around

I think a pro charger setup (centrifugal) would be cool to have and own. I'd have a few things upgraded to it so I could run a lot of boost. For sure upgrade the maf and injectors. Or crap since we're wishing, one of those direct drive units would be icing on the cake.
I myself have had a roots style blower (stock Harley supercharger) for the last 10 years and getting the itch for a twin screw. (Compressor, whipple kennybell)

My truck runs 10 PSI of boost at 5000 RPM, isn't so much at the lower RPMs though. I like the procharger but really with just having a 4 speed it would be nice to have the low end power. But on the other hand a Centrifugal on the newer 6 speeds would probably be awesome, haven't found anyone who has done it personally
