I dont see these trucks as dying out- in my area of Ohio, there are still plenty on the road, some are rusty, some are very well kept- but they soldier on!- although i think they are becoming an entry level truck for young owners or someone who just needs a beater while he builds a home or such.
Myself, im a cheapskate!- why would i spend 20k on a truck that i only drive 2-3k per year- ol’blue is a pretty nice truck, and ill try to keep her that way and, unless something catastrophic happens, ill drive her til she drops!

I was referring more so to the sub itself. Most any question has been gone through before and if someone searches it pops up. That and I feel like the modding isn't as prevalent as it once was. I remember threads getting shut down because of head light style choices. Lol

It has, more and more. The problem is us stragglers who don't want to learn anything new.

Yeh but I really like knowing this thing inside and out. I remember paying for a shop to change a coil and plug before I found this site just because i didn't know anything about these trucks, not really anyway.

Then the sub isnt dead, it becoming more of a historical archive- but, i guess, that as body styles get older, the options for modding become less and less- simply because the aftermarket is not producing the latest and coolest stuff for 20 yr.old designed trucks.
But, like in my case, i bought ol’ blue and found this forum/sub, and it has been a great source of info. And, in the process, i post with/to some pretty good fellers, and in the process, maybe, just maybe, help someone or help someone think about solving their problems.

I remember when coils were 90 bucks apiece lol. No knock-offs or deals.

I spent all day working on my truck - with a brief intermission that involved scanning this forum for answers and craiglist looking for newer trucks. The new truck price is all the motivation I need to go back out and continue working on mine.

I'm more than happy to help the new guys that are willing to put in the work but as long as this truck keeps going and I don't have kids I'm driving this big red 03. In fact the trans mount is getting replaced this weekend.
