Default this sub is dying - long live gen 10

have noticed a lack of new threads in this group lately - are we now the post-modern / pre-antique / prime-buying era of F150s ? seems so

Askhole status is well earned, lol. You must achieve the following:

1. Ask question.... receive answer
2. Present question in new manner, because answer wasn't what you wanted.... receive same answer from first question.
3. Reword the question again because, again, wanted answer was not received..... yet again, receive same answer from first question
4. Do nothing with the answers because they weren't what you wanted to hear.
5. Create new user, and repeat steps 1 through 4.
6. Tell everyone they are unhelpful, and say you are selling your truck.

Promise I’m not a sock haha. I recently (last nov) bought a 2001 screw lariat 4x4 with 135k from the original owner for 6600 and have been using this site for help fixing small stuff. Really informative but I decided to stop lurking and start posting.

Whatever happened to the guy who had his engine rebuilt when it died on vacation in another state? I recall it was done all wrong but never saw if he got it working.

You could be right about these trucks dying out but honestly everything has been figured out about them as well. I have been driving a 10th gen since 03 and am on my 3rd one. These trucks are work horses and I have made mine work. If I do move to a newer style after this one then I really hope the newer one is every bit as reliable or i will be coming back. Lol

Yea I know what you mean. I had the chance to get the newer model or imports. But I really want this body style so it took me a while to find the right one

thanks Jprevat - thats reassuring this one would last

No worries man, I've had more than 200k on each one of mine 256k on this one that I daily and I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and drive it a thousand miles if I needed to.
