Default strange high pitched whine at certain speeds

So between 35-45 mph, i hear a faint noise, almost like a high pitched whine coming from somewhere. It doesn't change frequency with rpms, or vehicle speed. Same sound the whole time. As soon as I get above 45 or below 35, it instantly cuts out. I have tried recording it, but the camera does not really pick up the sound very well.

Any ideas? I don't think it's the trans since the pitch of the sound never changes with RPM's, and i don't think it's related to the front end components since the vehicle speed doesn't change the pitch either..

I can't feel anything, but it kind of sounds like a high pitched vibration. compare it to the sound of a tuning fork.

Do you have any sort of aggressive tires by chance I know my tires change pitch with speed I've even had BFG all terrains that would make noise at low speed then go away when I got on the highway

Do you have the stock muffler? Try cutting it off

No, it isn't tire noise. The terra grapplers have their own distinct noise.

Muffler is a magnaflow straight through.

I don't think it's anything serious, but i'm ocd and would still like to try and track it down. No way to do that though

Could be your pinion bearing.

Rear axle gear whine is prominent on light throttle at highway speeds. Is your oil level correct? Suggest changing rear axle lube with factory recommended grease. If limited slip differential use exactly specified grease or you'll have other issues.

It isn't the rear axle. the rear axle on my ranger was whining and it was a very different sound than this. That changed pitch with rpm's as well and never cut out, you could hear it at any speed.

also, this isn't at highway speeds.
