Default Straight pipes or flownaster?

I already have a flownaster super 40 si/do dumped was thinking of just cutting it out and running straight pipe side exit with a 4" tip. Opinions? Plus I already have 2 cats instead of the stock 4 long story.

Well, think about this. You paid for the system already (I assume). So are you going to sell it? If so, do you want to be that loud? I don't know how MUCH louder straight pipes are than muffled Flowmasters on our trucks, but obviously it's louder.

If you're going for "really loud" and are going to sell the Flowmaster stuff, then go for it. If you don't plan on selling the stuff... kind of a waste of money, no?

I feel like your Flowmaster has to be loud enough if its SI/DO dumped with two cats..

You live in Texas, there are noise limit laws here. You will not gain any power, and draw more attention to yourself than you really need. Words from experience. Try open headers downtown reverberating off all those tall building. That was an expensive lesson in life.
