Default stock wheel lug nuts

I just bought a set of stock chrome steel wheels off of craigslist. when I started to put them on the tire shop told me I needed factory stock lug nuts, that the ones I currently have won't work. So anyone know what that's all about?
Called the dealership they want 5.00 each = 100.00 for the set

And it doesn't even show the washer type for steel wheels that Ford uses. With the washer attached to the nut.

Yes, the Ford lug nuts leave those marks. Dorman makes a nut that might be cheaper than Fords. I think that they're $2 each. I got some at the auto parts stores but they wete sparse. Had to go two different stores just to get 10. Make sure you know if you have 12mm or 14mm lugs.

I will break out the calipers in the morning. Looks like Dorman has several to choose from. Thank you for all the help and information

Your 2003 requires 14mm nuts. Dorman 611-172 or 611-196 will work. The latter is cheaper.

611-206 is the chrome capped ones for the FX4 style wheels etc. I was going to post that when I read the 5.00 figure from Ford. I forgot to add it.
