Default Steering Pulls Hard in 4x4

So I looked through the forums and couldn't find anything on this. Hopefully someone has an idea.
So when I'm driving down the road in 2wd, my steering is fine. Mostly straight. It's not perfect, but it's very close. But as soon as I engage 4x4, (floor shifter) my steering starts to pull hard to the right. Like if I let go of the wheel, I would be in the ditch in 3-4 seconds. But the 4x4 does work and I'm getting power to the front wheels. But then if I disengage it, it still pulls to the right, until I come to a complete stop. Back in 2wd, the pulling stops. So I'm kinda stumped. I was thinking front wheel bearing, but I would notice that while still in 2wd. So I'm a little confused. And CV shaft works and looks good, so I don't know how that would be an issue. I'm pulling it apart tomorrow to see what I can find. But any ideas would be appreciated.

Prob a result of binding in the front driveline components. 4x4 on these trucks aren't designed to be used in non-slippage conditions. So running 4x4 on the pavement is a terrible idea and could result in broken components. You really should only use it in mud, sand, deep snow/icy roads etc etc

I know not to drive on pavement in 4x4, but this was driving in a straight line. And it was pulling bad. Like when you're trying to fight a rut to get out of it bad. I have new 33" Duratracs coming in this week, so I'll put those on first, see if it changes anything and go from there.

Kinda confused as to why your in 4wd on pavement. Did you just do it to see if it was pulling because you noticed it while off road or what? As mentioned before sounds like something is bound up. Not real sure that new tires will help at all.

We've all done that.

I wondering if he ever got his issue solved, the mystery of internet forums.
