my 2003 f150 wouldnt start 1day. After my neighbor I looked at it. He determined it to be the solenoid. after replacing the solenoid it still wouldnt start. so we put the jumpers on the battery and still nothing... I did notice a ticking noise coming from within the dash near the fuse panel.. so now Im stuck..any ideas?

Check your lead going from the battery to the starter. They can corrode and break off at the starter especially if you have high mileage.

Yea the dash will make all kinds of noises, - normal with this issue.

Check you connections at the starter. Sometime the little wire breaks off.

Clean your battery posts well. - Doesn't matter if they're not corroded. - A little oxidation can cause this issue. Check all cables, they go bad as well, -hard to see, so check resistance.
