Question Starting in Park position sometimes not possible

When the Selector is in Park position, sometimes i can't start the engine.
Then i rattle slightly on the Gear selector handle, and then i can start.

but...
is it possible to adjust the Switch which says, the Handle is in P Position.
And
where is the Switch

Sounds like your truck isn't going into park fully. If so there's a bolt you can tighten that should fix that right up. The person who owned my truck before me was a friend of mine and he bought it when it wouldn't even go into park. He had to put it in neutral to start it and park it in neutral. He told me there's a bolt of some sort somewhere behind the dash that just needed tightened. I'm sorry I don't know the specifics, but i'm sure it'll be an easy fix.

There is adjustment on neutral/safety switch. It's on the driver's side of the tranny. Loosen 2 nuts which secure it an try to rotate it a tiny bit. Careful not to break it-it's plastic.

Go to a scrapyard and tear into the steering column of a truck out there and get the shift linkage in the column

They are a pain to change out... i've now had to change mine twice (first time it broke clean in half, the second time i was having the same problem as you)

No, the Truck goes into Park, it blocks the Transmission.
but i think any switch that inhibits the Starting while "Brake is not set and Gear selector in any position than P"
needs to be adjusted.

you r welcome to correct my english via PM
(i want to optimize my grammar and the correct expressions for some things)
