Starting issues
New to ford ownership, bought my kid a 2003 F150 4x4 long bed with a 4.6L. Today she got home and when she tried to leave it wouldn’t start. Tried jumping it, replacing ignition cylinder where key goes in, bypass with screwdriver on the box on the firewall. Lights on dash come on but no start. Suggestions?
Sounds like you need a new starter
Check the small wire on the starter for 12 volts when in crank
If the voltagebis there during crank, replace the starter
If the voltage is not there you have a PATS issue / chipped key problem or other primary side problem like the clutch interlock or the neutral safety switch now known as a TR sensor
