Default Squirrell ate meh wiring harness

I have a 2003 ford f150 w/a 4.6l engine. As i stated inn the title a squirell ate my wiring harness right behind the batter box . We pulled a used harness from a wrecked out f150 2005 year model. Everything seemed to line up and plug in,so i think were good there . here is the issue were having , everything in the truck now has the power goingb to it and it works, the theft deterrent light on the dash flashes when you first get in but after you insert the key the light goes off and doesnt come back on so i believe the pats sytem is being disarmed . We cannot get the engine to turn over. Besides , i dont believe the pats system doesnt cause a turn over problem? it only cuts the spark and fuel , correct? any help will be very much appreciated

Not sure that 05 harness is correct for your 03.. if you had pulled it from a 97-03 then it should of been plug and play. I could be wrong..

Yes , I had the same thoughts but as i stated the wiring harness was identical in every way that we checked we verified pin and wire locations and they all checked out good. Even the colors of the wires checked out good.......

Have you checked all fuses? Under hood and in truck?

If the squirrel chewed through one wiring harness, I wouldn't be surprised if he got to something else as well...

Right, better check your nuts. Could have a few missing.

LOL

But seriously, check fuel lines, brake lines, vacuum hoses, etc. Even if you get the truck running, doesn't mean the rodent didn't get to other components.

I agree with Brew.... it's always good to check your nuts. And your twig.

Serious though, they very well could be the same harness between 03 and 05 - both are 2V's. Thank the Lord above you don't own a 3V. I do every night.

yes sir, over and over again. we did find a 7.5 amp fuse that had blown that ran the Theft Indicater light , the pcm and the a/c blower fan. Replaced that and thats when we got to where we are now. We have spark and we have fuel but the motor will only crank over if we use a jumper on the starter. Is there a possibility that the squirrell shorted out the ignition inn the steering wheel or the transponder or perhaps the

I appreciate all the ideas AND comic relief!!!!LOL,I needed that but we have checked everything yall have mentioned all to no avail. What I'm wondering is since the "Rodent" and that is being very nice ,chewed through the wires that come straight off the ecm , maybe it shorted something out in the ecm?? We also did the diagnostic through the instrument cluster and it fed us a few codes that were d900
9360
a659
9352
9317
We are in the process of working through those right now. Is there anyway that yall know of that the ecm can be tested to see if in fact its bad? Thanks in advanced for all your help.
