Default Sorry, 03 F150 SuperCrew 4WD Shock Question?

Ok ladies and gentlemen...I've searched. All of this site, all of google, all of pretty much the entirety of the internet available to me in a 3hr span...and I can't find an answer to my question. I found a TON of information (most of it here)...but to be honest, it was flat out too much to distill into anything actually usable.

Information overload.

SO.

My question is in regards to Bilstein shocks...specifically the 5150, 5160, and 5165 series. I put a Fabtech lift on my SuperCrew about a year ago, and the right front shock is already blown (I USE my truck). Reading around, the Fabtechs are crappy anyway...but up to the point of blowing the ride and handling were great. That said, I want something that's NOT going to blow with some basic spirited desert running. The Bilsteins seem to fit the bill.

So does anyone know what part numbers will fit my truck? 03 F150 SuperCrew, 5.4 4WD, with a Fabtech 6" lift.

I found these...but they're so dramatically different that I can't believe they were intended for the same vehicle:

5150:

http://eshocks.com/bil_Orsb.asp?Seri...=All&SubChar=Q
(I'm guessing this is for a stock ride height model)

5165:

http://shop.totalautomotiveperforman...i-1738066.aspx

Honestly...I can't believe that in all the years Bilstein has been making these shocks, they haven't made one specifically for this model. Seems many other manufacturers don't either.

Buying shocks for this truck has been literally painful lol.

Thanks in advance guys...and sorry for what is probably a redundant post.

I have no direct experience as i haven't changed out the old Ranchos yet, but many on this site evangelize for Fox Shocks. There are many, many threads containing links and you might find something comparable and in the same price range as the Bilsteins.

2thousand5.4, Jbrew, Drillrig, and I run the fox shocks and really like them. I am a forester so a lot of my time is spent off road and they hold their own very well.

The bilstiens would absolutely be my second choice though.

Bilstein doesnt make a 5100 sereies shock for the front. Your best bet is going to be finding a dealer who specializes with Fox, and get custom shock ordered. That way they can tailor the valving to your needs.

JP - Do you have the exact part numbers handy for the Fox's you're running both front and rear? The fitting menu on their site left me feeling like I was missing something.

I'll look when I get home and wash the mud out. The logging roads have been a mess around here.

These are the rears they offer, only one option.

These are the fronts they have, either 0-2in or 1-3in.

Ive been ready to pull the trigger on these for way to long now. Maybe this summer.

I went with the 0-2 option but I'm not running extra blocks or an add a leaf.

The 0-2 option is for 4x4s, and the 1-3 is 2x4.
