I want to int the windows in my truck. The legal PA VLT is 70%. Does that mean that I can buy, say 20 or 30 or 5% VLT tint and that is legal???

Pa's laws are always so complicated.

 

No it means you can by 70% tint and no darker, it sucks I know.

 

It goes by how much light can go through, so 5% is darkest.

70% is so light I wouldnt even bother at all, 35% is like the lightest you should go

 

From my experiences with PA cops, they won't bother you about tint. The only exceptions are if you are being cocky or you're in a small town where the cops are on power trips like the college town I'm in now, lol.

 

So what % tint comes on the rear windows of these trucks? Because i want my fronts tinted to match.

 

Ok, I was thinking about 35%. Do any of you have pictures of your trucks with like 35% tint?

 

i live in pa and work at a garage where we do inspections and pretty much your not allowed any tint unless its factory. some garages will allow it but most wont. and the cops are picky about that but like someone else said if your being cocky or making alot of noise they are going to nail you. if you keep it cool i dont think theyd bother you.

 

I just got my front windows done to match the back, it was 15% and it matches the back ones perfectly.

I have an '11 and when I got my front side windows tinted the guy said I had 35% on back side windows.

If your limit is 70% I would just get the clear UV screen.....
