I unplugged one at a time and they all changed the idle. What do I do now?

I'm having the same problem, only going down the road. Not trying to hijack your thread, but I need the same info. I'm going to end up doing the plugs and wires, just looking for good wires that don't break the bank.

Now I have a po171 code and service engine soon light, and still shuddering, any Ideas?

I may have missed reading something but is this an engine shudder or transmission issue? Does the whole truck jerk around?

My 98 did that. Fresh tranny fluid and filter took care of it

Yeah mine jerked in overdrive pretty bad, tranny fluid flush/change and it ran fine

It's really not a good idea to unplug coils or COP's while the engine is running. Buy a cheap DMM to test them or get a shop to plug it up to real-time data with the engine running.

A $20 Digital Multimeter can save you tons of hassle with nearly every electrical component on these trucks.
