The GoodYear MTR's are well worth the investment, this makes my 2nd set. The first set were the non kevlars (lasted about 35-40k).
I now have the newer ones in the, 305 70 17 metric size(34.2 h x 12.4 wide), wrapped on my factory FX4 wheels. With no lift, no tbar crank, and no rubbing.
Here are the older ones(non kevlar) with the white sidewalls. This pic was about 6 years ago. A good set of M/t's can really make the difference in overall appearance and aggressive styling.
I will never own another brand of M/t, they are simply amazing compared to some of the other M/t's i've owned (mud grapplers and pro comps). I got about 15,000 more miles out of my old MTR's than I did the grapplers or comps.
From first hand experience, they out perform the previous tires in water, mud, load ratings, and wear. The grapplers were god awful on hard packed surfaces and any semi wet hard pack.
Heres a few shots of the newer Kevlar's (sorry for all the pics).

You gotta nice truck man. It was that much more because i bought it from a dealer and had them install it with warranty. If it decides it wants to break in the next 3 years then that will be money out of their pockets. I also got the steering stabilizers, upgraded shocks, alignment, all my suspension redone, and all that extra stuff. So it added it up a good bit. I think just the rims, tires, and lift to my door without installation was around $4800 from 4 wheel parts. I got warranties from Nitto, fabtech, and Xd also just because my stuff came from them specifically. I also have 20's. That supposedly raises the price quite a bit.
