Clean and shiny...
New pinstriping, too, but only because I had to cover the marks from the old ones.

Nice truck! I work at a dealership, and I do the trade appraisals. I had been casually looking for a truck, was planning on just leasing a new one actually. Then I went to appraise this one, and I knew it was the perfect truck for me, one I could use and not feel as bad about, and one that someone cared for just as much as I care for my vehicles. Long story short, I gave the customer a little more than it was worth so I could assure that we would get it! Long story short, when the customer who traded it in was in the finance office doing the paper work for their new truck, I was in the other office doing the paperwork on this one!
That's a great looking truck! I need to redo my pin-stripping too. I took the pinstripe off my truck when I bought it. Now you can clearly see where it was. I was considering just buffing it, but I may end up just putting a stripe back on

I tried compound to get the marks and "ghosting" off, but think that even 2000-grit wet sanding might leave traces. Try, though, to get as much out as you can, because the pinstripe tape will telegraph every imperfection underneath.

Thank you, Sir! (Now you understand why I like the color of yours.)

Well maybe I will just add a new pinstripe then so I don't have to worry about it. Not sure what color would look the best. I'm all for colored accents, but don't want it to look too weird, or on the other side of the spectrum and look like an old man truck. No offence to any older men
It's great to see all these Ohio trucks! I'm in Westerville (Columbus). My son goes to UC. I'm about to remove the cylinder heads on my truck today. The spark plug threads got stuck in the passenger side cylinder head. The extractor tool broke inside the spark plug threads.
I have a ton of friends that go to UC!
That doesn't look like a fun time you're having there. Bummer!
