Ahh.. I'd rather save money by not having to get a shop to do something I could do myself. I can do the same thing the shop does. But that's your choice, if you want a shop to do it, more power to you.

I feel the same way. About the only thing I will pay a shop to do is mount and balance tires and that's only because I don't have the machine to do it. But pretty much everything else im doing myself. If/when the engine blows I'll be rebuilding it

gears and tranny work id have someone do, theres something's i just want peace of mind about. I'm one of those guys that if I'm going to do something I'm going to do it right, everything else I can do myself and have but that stuff I'll trust my friend who's been a ford certified mechanic for the last 30 years with my truck any day and know he's done it right.
