Trucks look better without them,I only have mine on because it hides the extra frame that is shown from my body lift.

I'm putting them back on when I get tires probably. But I'm cutting the end turndowns off them and putting caps on. To make them look more like rock sliders

The one he got is an engraved plate painted if its like the ones I've been seeing, pretty heavy actually
