An excess of chrome or black on anything is dumb. I like enough chrome to make it sexy, and enough black to make it mean.

So you've had the same Pair of headlights and taken the lens off to see what is was like so that one day you can tell someone that it's chrome on the inside?

seems legit.

You can see the mirrored finish through the lens, my friend has some like them on his truck. Every aftermarket set of "smoked" lights I've ever seen are the same

that may be the case, but the ones i had on that red truck were not. I looked through the hole where the bulb went it, and it was a black chrome finish. you were not that far off. still somewhat shiny tho, but not the chrome that you keep saying it is.

It's chrome though.... Not truly black. the matte black looks way meaner.
