Until it needs parts. I REALLY want a diesel. But the price of maintenance and parts make me unable to justify it. $100 for an oil change? No thanks

And pay almost 4 bucks a gallon for diesel and come out really no better on fuel economy. I would put my V10 i had up against a diesel towing any day, it was a beast.

Ditto, turbo goes out, you're done. That's crap's expensive. And like I just mentioned, almost 4 bucks a gallon for diesel, where's the fuel economy in that?

I'd take a diesel over a gasser any day. You think a gas can pull or haul ***, hop into just a stock diesel with a tune... You'll be mind blown.

Here we go with the bash the gasser praise the diesel discussion again.

The guy said he wanted a F250 with a 5.4 in it, my point was why settle for a 5.4 when the 6.8 has way more power and the same MPG.

Yeah, diesels are great, if you haul on a daily basis and have the money for it. Mine was used on a farm where we might tow a trailer 2 times a month, not worth the maintenance and extra cost up front for a diesel, not to mention that diesel is so friggin expensive now.

I would love to be able to find a 7.3 without super high mileage. That was the truck of my dreams. Funny thing is I wanted a crew cab, short bed F250 with the 7.3 and wound up buying a black Scab long bed with the 6.8, talk about total opposite ends of the spectrum, lol.
