I was amazed this summer when I pulled the mat and my bed was pretty much perfect underneath it, minus one or two dents lol

Yeah same with mine. I had to put some hd hasps and combo locks on mine (ghetto). But it works I just dont like how it takes up the bottom third of the window. How you gonna mount yours in bed?

I'm going to put it on some risers to get it even with the bed rail, and I'm going to run cables from the side handles to my bed tie downs and put locks on them

And yeah the old one stood up way too tall and didn't match the truck... Bought it for $10 and traded it for a cheap bow to set up with a fishing rig
