Does your Kenwood have the EQ in the audio controls? Mine does and it makes it nice to adjust to you liking.

Nope, They are Polk Audio DB series 6.5's and a DB1001 silk dome tweeter.

I painted the grills gunmetal grey metallic to match the
dark graphite grey in my interior. They sound really good.
I install audio for friends and family and I have installed these
for almost every single install with no complaints. Everyone
loves them amp'ed or on stock stereo's.

That's the way I did it on my old single cab chevy... Never gave me a huge problem. In fact, they lasted longer than any of my friend's subs ever did and mine was used.
