Default Pays to be in California [when it comes to rust]

Just grabbed this 97 4.6L V8 4x4 Flareside - everything works - gauges etc. Runs cool. Needs timing chain done - but I'll get around to it.

My wife bought a Tesla and I have a Cayenne and have trashed it a couple of times putting stuff in the back - no more! we have NEEDED a truck for a while - and my bride steadfastly refused to get one even used. Does not like pick ups.

Anyway - too damn bad. I had a new client who could not pay me - so I agree to take this - thankfully this client was a combination independent repair shop, street corner car dealer and laundromat in the back. . . . it all works out

So, free laundry for life, and a way to get it there.

I was without a truck for awhile, and don't think I want to be in that position again, especially living here in the mountains where we do.

Looks like a speed bump! It would probably fit under mine. Two opposite ends of the spectrum but I can dig it.

Love a good looking slammed truck! Is that a color change paint job or the shot giving off a weird shadow?

I'm not normally one for lowered trucks, but
I'd be interested in learning more about how this truck came about. Do you have a build or info thread?

Thanks! No, it’s just the angle the picture was taken.

Unfortunately I don’t. I got the truck built way before I got on the forums. But it does have a new built frame from the firewall to the back. The front end has new lower control arms and uppers were raised 3”.

The majority of the roads here are smooth and pot hole free. Lol
