I did a ton of overdo maintenance last spring, and still have like a rear end annoyance that I think is a defect in the carrier because it's been there since new (I'm the second owner). Amazing truck, I'll have it for a long time! It was pretty poorly maintained, and heavily oxidized paint, but I think I brought it back fairly nicely

This is from the weekend

Here she is loaded up!

That's the condition I bought it in lol
That's a good heavy duty f150 you have there.

Haha thanks! As far as I know we don't salt the roads up here, but I could be wrong. Took about a month and a half to get the oxidation off using a McGuires' Ultimate Compound/Porter Cable 7424 combination.

I've been following the forum for awhile, never posted. Appreciate the kind words! These things seem to go forever, and while the 2015's are nice... I don't really see the value in spending that kind of money when what I have still runs so well. They new how to build a good truck in 2000, as far as I'm concerned.

Just picked me up a 2001 scab, They are very foreign to me, Im use to dentsides, lol. but it is a 5.4 scab 3.31 ls i think, 185k miles, anyway off to some photos, It is an yankee truck so it has some cancer in the rockers,In the future I would love to lift it enough to get some 34's under it. Alighty got a bunch of performance mods picked out for her.

When I first purchased her, Along with my dent behind her, She was not fond of her,

When I was sitting at the dmv to get it registered, I bought some ebay heads,

yellow my fog lights,

Removed the side molding

Still on the fritz if I liked the color matched valance

Still on the fritz if I liked the color matched tailgate handle

Good looking truck

You can fit 35s with minor trimming if you crank the torsion bars up, just don't go past 24 1/4 inches from center to the wheel to the top of the fender. Your transmission isn't going to like you to much with 3.31s and 35s tho.

Looks nice!

Can you link where you got those headlights? I want a set just like that, but the ebay ones I usually find aren't two piece like a clear lens factory replacement.

What gears should I get, Its my first 10th gen, always had older trucks, always been lowered though. This one I actually want to lift it up and make it look decent. I havent done any research yet, I usually come here for the search feature lol. Thanks for the help.

If you arnt driving it alot or not towing woth it then 3.31s will be OK, it will just downshift alot from OD. Regearing theses tracks is expensive (normally around 1700-2k for a 4x4 if you have a shop do it). Generally 4.10s or 4.56s are recommended for 35s. I say go with 4.56s, the rpm difference between the to is negligible so might as well go with the lower gear. Unless you are doing a ton of highway driving then go with the 4.10s.
