Found Off Road Dominating
That isnt my truck but i got a set of duratracs on my truck, ide show some more pics but my computer wont let me upload right now, but i have some pics in my garage. Suprisingly they are really quiet tires for as much meat is on them. they are by far one of the best investments ive made for the truck and they will go thru anything you can throw at them. i havent got stuck once since ive put them one and love every minute of pulling chebbys out of pits the i jus walked right thru

Sweet, I guess the last question is did you do anything to compensate for upping the size to 285/70's from the 265/70's? programmer? or did you just let the speedo be off some?

Here is mine.
I really like the lightning truck, but this is my daily driver and has been since I bought it in 2001. I wanted a lightning with extended cab for my 3 kids and 4 wheel drive for the bad weather but they didn't make what I wanted. I bought my truck and drove it for a few years like it was and I liked it ok but I did not like how small the tires looked in the wheel wells and I hated how it rolled in the corners. I thought about trading it off but I did not like the look of the new body style as well. so I decided to build the truck I wanted. I started off by lowering it and putting on bigger wheels and tires. I also increased the size of the sway bar so it handles a lot better now. then I put the ground effects kit and the tonneau cover on it. also the roll pan with hidden hitch. then I bumped up the power with the kenne bell supercharger. it makes the truck a lot of fun to drive. I do not do any off roading where I live and I have an 06 f250 superduty if I need to so I do not miss the ground clearance and for what I do I love the way it handles. some people hate the fact that I lowered a 4x4 but the truck is built for me and for the way I use it and I am very happy with it.
I have also put on edelbrock headers a complete custom exhaust and put linear actuators on the bed cover so it lifts with a key fob remote.

I say screw those people, Its a gorgeous truck! I've thought about building a truck like that for many years. who knows I may get tired of playing in the mud and breaking things after awhile and do the same thing as you !?!
