got a lot of people asking the same question haha. Not sure I aimed them right, but once it gets a bit more dark outside I'll go see if I can get some good pictures.

Nice looking truck and bike! Makes me miss my Bonneville.

Awesome! I think you've got a lot of people intrigued with your new leds. I read some of the reviews and some people said they're bright, but still only shine out like 20 feet. Others said they're awesome and go really far, so someone with light housings like ours that can relate good info is key. Haha

I posted this in the other thread, but since people asked for pics here as well I figured I'd post them here too.

Sorry it took me so long to finally get these pictures. I went out to test them out and I saw that I installed the bulbs themselves backwards. So it took me some time to take it all apart and then put it all back together correctly. Here is some pictures, and my conclusion follows them.

Normal headlighs and fog lights off

brights on

now for the conclusion. I think I may need to heighten my headlights a bit and that might improve my light output a little bit, but it doesn't affect what I'm about to say. Are they better than the HID refit's? I'd say no. HID's have the advantage of being projected right straight out while these have to reflect off the headlight itself. I would say they are much brighter than the OEM lights and some aftermarket halogens I've used. So bascially if you have the time and money, get the HID refit. If you wanna save some money and use an easier solution, but lose some light, get the LED's. Or stay with the crappy OEM bulbs. The choice is yours.

So the debate goes on...I contacted the company that has done the work to my truck about shackles and they said they are an option but would end up sagging back down to where it is now because shackles wear out your leaf springs a lot faster which is what I read. It will cause them to flatten out so going to wait for the lead spring lift it from bds...because of the quality of my blocks, they don't like to do that but since it's a 1.5" block stacked on a 5" block it is not near as dangerous and bad as if it was two 3-4" blocks stacked on one another. So the plan is run it the way it is until the summer or fall and get the leaf kit then

If you can find a true leaf spring lift kit for the rear under $450-500 then let me know...if I can get the kit and have it installed for $600-650 I'm in good shape...the kits I was looking at were any where from $600-800 some even more

why not lose the small block, and get an AAL? Mine was only $90 shipped through summit. And yes shackles can be a bad idea. I opted out since I tow and don't trust those thin metal looking shackles
