I have had a few different ones in the past. Right now I wish the guy above would reply about the short throw shifter! Been looking for one for about 6-7 years

Lol why the tach for a 4r100? Leave it in drive without the overdrive on and hammer it.

This is the state of my truck...

I found a nice cap for $250. I replaced headlights and put on 2 General Grabbers, and took off that godforsaken t-handle shifter. I tried a Pilot **** from FLAPS, that lasted about 1/2 day. I ordered a Hurst "classic" spherical ****, and when it came I didn't bother opening it...the thing was tiny, like for a dwarf.

I decided nothing would be better that a billiard ball. Some ready-made ones seemed fine, but had metric threads. So....I went and ordered a regular ball. Only a few were available w/o buying a set, so I got the orange "5" for 5-speed. Drilled it out by hand and attached, no problems. It's tight as hell and feels great. Looks good too...

Too bad the colour doesn't look right in the pic.

The device shoved into the lighter is a FM mp3 player, $12 and it works GREAT. I ordered some 5x7 Infinitys from Amazon for $50 to go with it...if I ever find the time.

You can have the Hurst T-Handle if you want it.

Here's the red cap....

Pretty happy so far.

Bring this back to life after 6 years. Looking at doing a short shifter. Has anybody make one of found one for a OK price? I'll find time to pull mine and see what I need to do or match it up with another one, bend it if need be. Build a few back in the ricer days on my MX6's till I find out the Honda Civic SS will just drop in.
