Is it more of a squeal or a whistle? Double check vacuum hoses for any leaks.

No its a squeal.
But don't know if it is a bearing in the alternator, or the water pump, or the adjuster,
It squeals more the colder an damper it gets, the hotter and dryer parts of summer NOT A SOUND.
Would love to get this thing fixed before it gets to cold.
Thanx DI

so long as something isnt already dripping onto the belt, sprinkle/spray a little water on the belt. If the squealing stops you have belt or belt alignment issue, if it doesnt make a difference you have bearings in a pulley going out. The water trick will usually on stop it for a few seconds so you may need to spray it then bump the arm on the TB to see if it squeals when you rev it
