Shocks, Upgrade or stay OEM
I am new to the forum so bare with me. I have a 1998 F-150 XLT with a 3'' lift. I just bought tires and I would like to replace my shocks. Anyone have any that they have been using and like? I was thinking about going OEM but I am kinda second guessing the 25$ price tag. I have bigger tires on my truck and I have all the extra packages for the truck, snow, towing. I also tow and haul with the truck as well. Any suggestions would be great.

Dont go oem, get some edelbrock performer ias shocks there f#%*in awsome i love mine, theres a lil valve in the shock that opens up when your on dirt/bumpy roads to get more shock travel but when your on street or smooth roads they stay closed to keep your shocks tight they have him for stock height and lifted trucks too so itll work for you. They were like $85 a shock but imo definantly worth it

Thanks guys I will have to look them all up. As to 4x4Wolf to tell you the truth I have no idea as to the lift body, or suspension. I think it might be a lift but aslo it may be a leveling kit. There seem to be big rubber spacers on the frame of the truck, but looking at different kits online for leveling these seem different.

I had a heavy duty suspension equipped Jeep that I towed a big boat with, I replaced the shocks with Monroe heavy duty OEM type, and they were great, and didn't cost much.
I think it depends on your financial situation and how long you plan to keep the truck.
