what truck are those seats out of? i put in seats out of an 01 f150 in mine. they had green and black wires for the electric seat fuction, air bag sensor wires, and im pretty sure thats it. but there werent near that number of wires..

edit* - just reread your post ans saw its from an 04 fx4. if you cant figure out what any of them go to, you could call/stop by a ford dealership and ask. just dont let them do the work!

That's what got me was the amount of wires, the manual seat has more than the electric one

The ford garage said that the other wires probably go to the pressure sensors for the seat and other stuff I don't need

Just hooked up the electrical, the seat everything works, the only thing is that the foreward and back on the seat doesnt work that well, if i try to move it, it'll go back or foreward a few inches and stop the motor or the screw sqeaks, im not sure if its a bad motor or if the tracking was pinched to close together when we welded it?

Good question. These seats didn't have heat did they? I don't think they would, but it's worth asking.

I'm not sure but your seat belts (built into the seats) should have a tensioner cylinder that activates in a crash. It tightens the best and goes off not unlike an airbag would. Just a thought. Without a factory evtm I can't say what they go to.

this mod is looking more and more enticing by the day
i just cant get comfortable in my 03 with a 60/40 split bench
ive had it well over a year now, theres just no sweet spot in the seating adjustments
its either too far forward and my knees are hitting the dash, or its too far back and the steering wheel is an uncomfortable distance away
then the backrest tilt, same deal, its either too far forward and straight up and down, or if i lean it back to the next setting, its too far back and im reaching too far for the steering wheel
stupid manual seats, ill never get anything without electric seats ever again
wish i could take just the drivers seat out, and replace it with a power adjust one so i can get comfortable in this thing
