I was bored and was on youtube like usual and watched a video on how to sea foam. it said in the video that you can leave it in the oil because its patrolium based but ive also heard you should change your oil soon after doing it. which is true?

If you put sea foam in your crank case, drive for about 50 miles and change it. It breaks all the gunk/buildup, and you don't want that crud circulating through your engine.

If you sea foam your intake, a small amount passes through your rings, and in to your crank case. Being that the amount is minuscule, it's okay to drive a few hundred miles before changing your oil.
