Default roof leak

Thought my windshield was leaking. Pulled the top trim off and found this. After sand blasting the hole corner is bad. Does any one know where I can get a patch panel for here? This is drivers side at the seam channel.

Looks just as bad as mine did on the Expy. The installer pumped it full of 3M 08609, and it hasn't leaked again. As far as a patch panel, I've never seen on. Probably have to tind one in the yard and cut it out, or do what was done on mine. It's held for 3 years now.

After I trimmed the seam compound back and sanded blasted it good I have the hole corner missing. I stuffed SS wire mesh in for backing And filling with Bondo for now till I have time to pull the windshield out and fix it right. The windshield is cracked so it needs replaced anyway.

Might work, thing is, bondo can crack, that's a bad spot for that. That 3M stuff is great as long as you prep.

What do you mean by putty? The black polyurethane?

What ever it is it is white and is 1/2 the height of the channel.

Interesting.... I thought that was just a piece of fiberglass in there. Do you have a picture of that same area, further back?

I circled the size hole I had after sand blasting. This is a temp fix to keep water out. I need to find something to fill in where I had to cut the putty out to fix the hole. Then the plan is to mask off between the channel and doors and take the trim off the top of the windshield and sand and paint the center of the roof and channels with a uv. bed liner. That should seal every thing up. It is just an xl work truck..
