Default Retrofit build (old build)

I got hate when I first got on this forum about having hid in a reflective housing so I got some advice and retrofitted my headlights.

I don't remember all of the details of what I used if you look on the forum you will defiantly find most answers if you have questions. Just thought I would show off what I built!
Also (a little product placement) on the Instagram @naughtyfords there are naughtyfords decals for sale 2$ a piece free shipping. Thanks for taking time to read this.

Looks good.
I had seen those housings before and did not like them, but with the retrofit and the black shrouds, they don't look bad at all.

Wow, Those look good. I'm a fan of OEM equipment, But that looks great. Are they noticeably brighter?

Great job, they look awesome. Now you'll never be able to drive a vehicle without them lol.

go to theretrofitsource.com

get the mini H1 complete kit. I believe any shroud will work.

Besure to get the harness with the 9007 plug, so it will plug into your factory harness.

price: $270

get ya some headlights with clear lenses, depending on the ones you get they're $30-80.

Throw the headlights in the oven, ~225 degrees F for 10ish minutes and pry it apart.

One the lense is off (now would be the time to paint the insides) bolt the projector in it.

RTV silicone the lense back on and plug it all in.
EASY!

I plan on doing this pretty soon. I would like to do it with the 6" Rigid Industries DOT/SAE approved light bar or even their dually square light. They just released a wide beam light I'm looking into as well. If not I'll do it the traditional way with HID's. I appreciate the info man!

I would buy retro rubber instead of the silicone to reinstall the lense. If you open the headlights up ever again you will be glad you did.
