Default Replacing blend door actuator

I replaced my heater core on my own not too long ago and both the AC and heater worked great for a few weeks but suddenly my AC stopped working and only blows hot air. I live in Texas and currently its 100+ degrees everyday I would love my AC to blow again. The mechanic told me its my blend door actuator. My question is, do I have to take apart my dash again all the way to the core in order to replace it, or is there a quicker way?

Hope you remember how to take the dash apart again. When I did mine I read on here that for $35 I could save myself a crap load of work and replace it when I did my heater core.
Second option is this.....Ford F150 HeaterTreater BLEND DOOR REPAIR KIT on amazon. Runs about $130 but says repair takes about 90 min through the glove box. The site is Heatertreater.net and on their site it list the kit for $120.

There is a difference between the blend door and the blend door acuator. The actuator only takes about 10 minutes to change. It is behind the black trim piece that sit on floor at the bottom of the dash in the middle. It opens and closes blend door.
A mechanic tried to tell me my blend door was bad but i removed the glove box and cut a inspection door in heater box and could see the blend door was good. Just a bad auctuator.
