Default Replacement Bumper Build

After gettin into a pretty bad wreck at Muddfest 2012 this year, I decided to build my own full replacement bumper from scratch. Still needs the main skid plate, plates to cover the gap under the lights, and paint, but so far this is it.

I appreciate it y'all. It was relatively simple to make, and the 8 inch tall square pipe fit between the top of the frame and the bottom of the grill like a glove. I couldn't believe how close it was. Total money so far spent on metal was around $110 bucks at a local salvage yard.

Just a thought but for the gap between the bumper and grill you might could get the original molding off the old bumper and put it on. If it don't meet the edge of you homemade bumper just fiber all are fiberglass it on I think it would good anyways

Yeah that could work too. The only problem is that I'm trying to go somewhat for the road armor look so I'm thinking of angling a plates from the front of the bumper back to under the light. The whole project has just pretty much been fabricating what works as I'm working. Haha

Feel free to! It is an 8 inch tall by 6 inch wide square pipe. It was 8 feet long at first centered on the truck, then cut angles to bend the pipe and weld it together! I was originally going to use all plates, but this way was much easier and way stronger.
