UPDATE:

I replaced all 8 coil packs with Motorcraft replacements. My truck ran fine for about 300 miles and then started to misfire again. Not as bad as before, but fairly consistently around 35-40 mph.

What should I do now?

Someone had a similar issue. I THINK it was a bad injector, that actually tested fine. I think it was staying up and flooding the plug/cylinder, which caused running issues and some other things... something to do with the exhaust. I am not advocating you replace your injectors. I am saying maybe research how they work and and see if their particular issues relate to yours.

The he found it was to hook up a higher end scanner that gave actual individual info on each injector. I could be wrong, as It has been many months since I read it.

P0303

Faulty spark plug 3
Clogged or faulty fuel injector 3
Faulty ignition coil 3
Fuel injector 3 harness is open or shorted
Fuel injector 3 circuit poor electrical connection
Ignition coil 3 harness is open or shorted
Ignition coil 3 circuit poor electrical connection
Insufficient cylinder 3 compression
Incorrect fuel pressure Intake air leak

After looking up your code, I can see the injector is the second item listed. The only other possibility is that you disconnected the injector connection clip or broke it. (I'm not judging you, I break them all the time) and vibration has broke it loose again. Worst case scenerio, you put out $15 for an injector. That might be my next move. Are you still getting the P0303?

BTW there are entertaining videos on youtube on how to clean your injectors with cleaners and and a battery. I think I would spend less time and money just replacing it.

I am actually not throwing any codes at all which is kind of frustrating.

I will start researching fuel injector issues. Thank you.

When were the plugs last changed?
If you are feeling misfires then there is Mode 6 data that can be accessed.
There are probably not enough consistent misfires to set a code, yet.
You will need a code reader that can access the raw data or an OBDII bluetooth adapter with an app like Torque Pro (Android).
You can then tell which cylinder/s are misfiring narrowing down your testing.

Along with what R&T said, some code readers will even give you a "pending code" even if it does not have mode 6. I realize your plugs only have 25K on them, but if they were running (not running) off a bad coil long enough, they could potentially be faulty/fouled now.

I use the
BAFX BAFX
on my truck with my laptop since it doesn't work with my Iphone. If you have an Iphone get a WiFi version instead. Either way you can use a laptop and an android phone to talk to the truck. As for software for the pc I like http://forscan.org and there are a lot of threads on advanced features that can be used.

Do some tracking with it and see if you can get more information. Torque pro is popular as well.

LOL... no worries.

Just went through this with my Buddy at work. BTW, I got this one for his iPhone 6, and it DID NOT work..... just a word to the wise. It won't connect to his phone. I did get my Galaxy S3 to connect though, LOL.
