I finally got a recall for my 98 for it catching fire

They should have engraved the recall notice on a fire extinguisher.

I'm just glad they finally admit something is wrong with it mine is for the speed control deactivation switch

the cruise control recall and gas tank strap recall have been around for awhile now, surprised you just got it done now

Call any Ford dealer, the can (and I think are required?) to tell you if a recall has been performed on your vehicle (you need your VIN).
