Default Rear shock mounts below the axle

I've been questioning the location of the rear shock mounts, no matter what you do to raise your truck those ugly mounts are still hanging below your axle. Has anyone repositioned thiers? If I was to get mine relocated what would be the results in handling?

Results would be the same... The reason they do this is to run a longer shock... If lifted it doesn't matter cuz you get the correct length for travel

I repositioned mine when I had my stock axle... Also repositioned them on my D60... Nothing hanging, I'm against unnecessary junk hanging under my truck... Just got the correct length socks for travel and done
