Default Rear end lift

Ok getting ready to lift the rear of my 02 screw. I have 2 1/4" I can safely crank my t-bars and I only need an inch in front now to level it still leaving me 3/8" lower in front which is where I want it. I tow a boat and occasionally a camper so I want it a little lower up front. Question is ( I know it took a while to get here) I want to lift the back an 1" to 1 1/2" I can either get a 3" block to replace the factory 2" or do an add a leaf which will also help towing capacity. Has anyone done an add a leaf and what kind of difference did it make in daily driving?

Thanks in advance for opinions and advice.
