Default Torsion Bars, shocks and leaf springs

I've got a 2002 F150 supercab, and it's time for new tires and shocks. I currently have 285/70r17 Discovery STT's with all factory suspension. Would like to squeeze bigger meats under it without doing the whole suspension overhaul(lift kit,etc.). Aim to crank the torsion bars and use some sort of add-a-leaf to compensate for the extra height in the front when towing the boat or hauling any extra weight(I don't wanna look like I'm pulling wheelies everywhere). I figure with this basic configuration I can put the 295/70r17's on it with the factory rims, I believe that is the biggest recommended from factory(Cooper tire) with stock rims. I am a little stumped on what I should do about shocks however. Not looking for anything to high end, but quality for a little off road and alot of highway.

Rancho RS5000 Shocks are great and they offer them for lifted F150's up to 4".
