Rainwater wetting backseat! 97' Ford F-150.
The backseat of my 97' Ford F-150 keeps getting wet whenever it rains. The rainwater is seeping in through the crevices I taped up with waterproof / weatherproof gorilla tape. I thought that the gorilla tape was good enough to keep the rainwater out. Is there some kind of product that can repel rainwater?

Yup, the only fix is to pull the window and replace the sealant.
Butyl tape (3M Windoweld is what I used)) is the easiest stuff to use to fix it. Liquid Butyl in the tube will work, but is much messier to work with and does not always seal.
Do not use any kind of silicone. You will never fix it without taking the window off.
There is a video on youtube showing how to take out the back window (as well as hundreds of posts here about it).

X4 on taking out the window and putting in the 3M tape. It comes in a 15 roll and has worked great for me. Takes a few common tools and a few hours. Don't bother ANY other attempts. Just do it right and then don't worry for another 18 years.

Yeah, you have to take the back window out to fix the leak. That area you put the tape on is only for looks, has nothing to do with the leak. Hope this helps.
