Are you cutting and adding your plug to the oem wires? If so, DON'T do it. Just get the Metra 70-1770 harness adapter. Gray is the power panel plug, and black is the speaker pairs

Radio plug
The problem is its only one plug back there and I cant find an adapter that matches. This is a very strange truck. If I can find an addapter I made sure I was able to resplice the wires back.

Try this, but verify with a meter first please.
It is from an old Crutchfield install guide.
You may not have all the wires if you don't have all the options like remote CD player.

Your wire adapter kit should be http://metraonline.com/part/70-1771

I can understand not having the blue as trucks usually don't have power antennas. The others are a mystery.

I have given all the help I have.

That black and red plug is for premium sound. No biggie. Follow that plug into the harness, and it goes to the black and grey plugs I showed. It just unclips.

DV....also remember when buying parts, 97-98 are their own parts in most cases. Some 99-up parts fit, but electronics and front body parts are different, less the fenders/hood. Even the doors are different.
