Default Question for a cop

Was talking to my boss about wheel spacers and he said he thot they got banned. Is this true?

you should probably mention what state youre in
laws can differ from state to state pretty drastically

It's not wheel spacers that are outlawed, it's usually tires sticking out too far beyond the fender. Check your state and local laws for how far you can go. There are some places with inspection that will deny you the sticker if you have them, but I've never been around that so can't say for sure.

wheel spacers are a safety concern, no doubt about it, and like the guy said above, you cant have tires sticking out a certain amount past the fenders, yours could be illegal for all you know.

So basicaly if I get new fender flares I would be ok? I live in south Dakota

Basically check the local laws since they vary on this issue to be sure you stay legal.

Ok off the subject of legal or not. How does the truck handle with spacers? Getting 18s in the spring/summer

i dont know how they handle but i have heard spacers eat up wheel bearings, ive also heard people say they have never had problems with them, just something to think about. personally i would just go with an offset rim.
