Thank you for your suggestions. I went to a jy today. Cloth electric seats I found were as worn/torn as leather. I gave up on seat replacement.

I have never seen a power pedal before. But I found a motor attached to pedals in 2000 Expedition and brought that home. Not a direct fit. I either have to drill new mounting holes on firewall or use existing holes and fab an adapter plate. The latter looks easier.

By the way, are all electric seats same? Do all move up and down, tilt? Thank you.

The electric seat adjusters are all basically the same. Some newer models do 30 different things (positions etc), but ours are the basic, up, back, tilt and have lumbar adjusters.

Paker....you do realize that 2004=08 Expy seats will also fit? You only have to change the seat belt retainers to our GEN 10's, so that the belts will lock in. They 97-08 all have the same floor pan mounting rails. The seats with the built in seat belts are a bit more difficult to use, but they can be made to work without a lot of problems. Just a FYI for you.

Thank you for the electric seat explanation. I also looked at 2005 F150 and Navigator/Expedition. It looks to me their seats are attached to the horizontal surface of the raised platform, whereas ours are bolted to the sloped part of the platform. If post-2003 seats can be put in 97 with mod, I will take that path. My 97 has about 60k miles and will outlive 97-03 donors.

I reread your post. Is the part bolted to the car called rail? And what's above the rail is exchangeable? I will have to revisit the jy. Thank you.

Paker. There is nothing different in the frame rails from 97 to 08. They all bolt exactly the same. I don't know about the 09 and up, but the GEN 10 and 11 interchange. You may have to change the plug on the power seat, but that is easy enough to change. I'm using 04 seats in my 98.

I am confused. Here are 97 (mine) and 04 (copied from http://www.fordtruckclub.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=4865)

97 has front bolts on the slope. 04 has all 4 feet flat. I verified this difference at the jy. There were a few 05 F150/Navigator/Expedition. But AK has 04 seat in 98. What am I missing? Any possibility that you moved the seat over but left the rail in the donor car?

That's strange. My seats are out of an 04 NBS Expedition. They certainly are better seats than what came in our GEN 10's. You are looking at Expy's right or 150's? NBS F150's use the pan you are showing, where the Expy's hold our platform plan. I might not of been clear enough.

There are a bunch of write up on this swap also. Here is a picture of mine installed.

No, I didn't swap a thing. You could find newer seats and take and swap the tracks to your design if it came to that. Just a thought.

Sorry Bad, but I don't know. That is a 60-40 set, but It fits exactly where the 99 Expy buckets and console went that I had in lil Red before I went to these. Does that help

As AK suggested, I searched and found several threads on 04-08 Expy seat to 97-03 F150. Expy console will not fit F150 according to the posters. It seems to be a length issue rather than width.
