With a hammer, a cold chisel or punch, pr of pliers, and a block of wood, you can probably figure something out.

I never thought about using a punch. That's a good idea!

Thanks for the replies, I will do some more searching but the info you guys provided looks good. Not sure I will get a chance before x-mas we will just need to figure out as we go. Going to try and step back and let him do the install with help from me when needed. Hard to step back when I have done some of this stuff when I was younger. I think it will be a good project for him.
Thanks for all the help and links also

The install has started, we have stuff scattered in the garage. Looks like we are going behind the seat. I think we will need to cut two of the support wires on the back of the seat. I think it will be fine, he only carries passengers once in a great while. We need to cut the two wires to have more room for the amp.

Any reason not to bolt this board to the back of truck, I think I can get a bolt run thru like a stud sticking out with a nut on it. Put some silicon on the bolt / washer running from the outside in. Then we would just have tow studs sticking out where the board would mount. Easy on / off with the board if needed. I think this would work but want opinions.

My amp is bolted to the back of the truck behind the seat with rubber washers (for squeaking) and some self tapping screws.

I'd suggest while you're at it, to add some sound-deadener to the back wall (at a minimum). is the stuff I used, and here's why:
