Default Preparation for Scrapin' The Coast

Hey guys.. It's officially been a year since I've had my 2002 F150 XL.. It's come a long way but the next 2 weeks are gonna change the entire personality of the truck I think. I'm sourcing a white Super Duty tailgate, plan to paint the handle on it when I find one, the Lightning rims I repaired and painted are getting wrapped in some AT's today, I'm repainting the largest part of the dash a graphite color, and I'm planning on doing a 2" shackle drop in the next week or so.

So far the work I've done the past few days to prepare is:
Wetsand top pad and grille, and buff to match shine of original paint
Touched up a bunch of chips in the paint etc
Test fitted the SVT Lightning wheels
Retinted tail lights
Repainted dash radio trim gunmetal/graphite(stole this idea from the 'Yotas)
Repainted door panel handle trim gunmetal/graphite

Progress pics:

Detailed her first

What heads and corners you got? And what kind of paint did you use on the panels? It's looking better but what Bout the dents in the bed? (no offense)

SVT Lightning heads, some eBay black euro corners with clear bulbs, and the dents in the bed were popped out before but popped back in because they've been there so long so I didn't try to do it again.

Well.. REALLY happy with the outcome of the tires I scored today. Got them mounted and balanced free too. Thanks to my girlfriend's dad.

'Bout time I got a new tailgate.. Shaving emblem holes and indentations right now.. Planning to figure out the problem with the latch system on this one and maybe replace it with my old latch from my old tailgate which worked perfect and then paint the locking handle.

Sorry, I guess I missed your question on the paint. I used what I had at the time cuz I had no money but wanted to redo them; I used Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Coating Graphite and the same type of clearcoat on the panels in the interior. I've done 2 more panels, about to be 4 today(hopefully)--drivers kick panel, and the steering wheel surround trim piece. Did more work yesterday..
