Power door luck switch
I think I've got this problem dialed, but just want to make sure:
I've got a 3 door '97 F150 XLT, so it's got power doors/windows, and keyless entry. The driver's side lock switch isn't working very well: I've got to punch it hard multiple times to get it to operate the locks, but sometimes it won't work at all. The key fob and passenger's side switch work perfectly - they unlock and lock all doors just lock they're supposed to.
I think this means I should take apart the driver's side door and clean the switch (solenoids?), and if that doesn't work, replace the switch. Am I on the right track? And is there a thread that describes what exactly I'm looking to clean when I take it apart (and for that manner, how to disassemble the trim so that I don't break it)?
Thanks!
